ETFs Unveiled: Your Gateway to Smart Investing

Simply stated, an exchange-traded fund (or ETF for short) is an investment vehicle that offers exposure to a portfolio of assets and can be traded like an individual stock on an exchange, like the TSX.

Combining the diversification benefits of mutual funds with the trading flexibility of a stock, ETFs provide investors a cost-effective way to gain exposure to a wide variety of asset classes – from stocks and bonds to commodities and much more.

And there’s more good news: ETFs typically have lower fees and expenses and are generally more tax-efficient than actively managed mutual funds.

However, not all ETFs are created equal.
Unlike passive ETFs, which mirror an index, Dynamic Active ETFs employ Legitimately Active Management®, which means that Dynamic Active ETFs can respond to changing market conditions in order to capture opportunities and avoid risks.
