Alec Small

Alec Small joined Payden & Rygel in 2017. He’s a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager on the Global Unconstrained Fixed Income team with a focus on absolute return and multi-asset credit solutions. In this capacity, he’s responsible for idea generation, strategy implementation, and risk management.

Prior to his role on the unconstrained team, he led the trading effort for the firm’s emerging market debt strategies.

Before joining Payden & Rygel, Small worked as a fixed income trader and analyst at Toyota Financial Services within their portfolio management division. Previously, he worked at Wedbush Securities as a trader and analyst on the repo desk.

Alec is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles and the CFA Institute. He received an MFE from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and a BS from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
