Derek Bastien joined Dynamic in 2012 and began working closely with Damian Hoang in 2014.
In his role as Derivatives Strategist, Derek spent most of his time undertaking fundamental analysis with a focus on the Health Care, Materials, Energy and Communication Services sectors, structuring and analyzing derivative-based strategies and on quantitative analysis. He was promoted to Associate Portfolio Manager in 2019 and to Portfolio Manager in 2022.
Derek is a CFA charterholder and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Guelph.
