Ariel Andres is a Senior Portfolio Analyst on the Multi-Asset Management team. He started in the industry in 1992 and brings with him extensive portfolio management, quantitative analysis and programming experience.
Prior to joining Dynamic and its related companies, he was a portfolio manager at a competitor firm for five years managing a concentrated long-only Canadian equity portfolio and a liquid-alt North American equity portfolio. Ariel spent 14 years at a U.S.-based hedge fund where he developed short equity trading strategies. He has also worked on the sell-side at Scotia Capital Markets and another Canadian bank covering non-bank financial services and spent two years in risk management. Ariel started in the industry as an equity analyst.
Ariel earned his Bachelor of Economics at York University and MBA at the Schulich School of Business at York University. He's also a CFA charterholder.
