Stephen Dafoe joined Dynamic in 2016 and is currently the Associate Head of Credit Research. Prior to Dynamic, Mr. Dafoe was Director of Corporate Bond Research at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets.
Stephen joined Scotiabank in 2001, after 12 years with major credit rating agencies in New York and Toronto. At Scotiabank, he followed the full range of corporate bond issuers in Canada, with a particular research focus on utilities, pipelines, and infrastructure. Stephen also assisted with ratings advisory work, on selected special assignments. He participated in the OEB’s 2009 Cost of Capital Consultation Conference, and in 2010, appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Science, and Technology addressing pension matters and capital markets. Stephen also participated in a consultation before the IASB on regulatory accounting practices in Canada.
He has a BCom in Accountancy and Finance from Concordia University.
