Kevin Kaminski joined Dynamic in 2013 as an investment analyst for the Dynamic Core team working closely with Dana Love and in 2017 he was promoted to Associate Portfolio Manager.
Prior to joining Dynamic, Kevin spent more than six years at Invesco Trimark as an investment analyst where he was responsible for idea generation and company analysis across a number of global equity funds and worked alongside Dana Love. Kevin also spent three years in equity research at Scotia Capital covering the telecom and cable sectors.
Kevin holds an MBA with Honours from Schulich School of Business, a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina and was awarded the CFA designation in 2005.
Ryan Nicholl joined Dynamic in 2016 as an Associate Portfolio Manager and member of the Equity Income Team where he works closely with Eric Benner focusing on global equities. He is a Co-manager of the Dynamic Global Equity Income Fund.
Before joining Dynamic, Ryan spent five years with OMERS Capital Markets working as a Principal and Senior Analyst. For nearly four years he was the lead analyst covering the global consumer sector before moving to a generalist position as part of a small team managing a Global Quality portfolio. Prior to this he spent three years as an Analyst and then Associate within the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs covering a variety of sectors.
Ryan received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Derek joined Dynamic in 2012. He works closely with Damian Hoang as a Derivatives Strategist, spending the majority of his time on fundamental analysis with a focus on the consumer and technology sectors, structuring and analyzing derivative based strategies and on quantitative analysis.
He is a CFA Charterholder and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Guelph.
Maria joined Dynamic in 2016 as a Portfolio Analyst on the award-winning Equity Income team. She works closely with Tom Dicker on identifying global opportunities in the real estate sector. Prior to joining Dynamic, Maria spent over 5 years on the sell-side as a research associate, specializing in Canadian real estate investment trusts, for BMO Capital Markets and National Bank Financial.
Maria has a B.Comm from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University and is a Calvin C. Potter Fellow. Maria was awarded the CFA designation in 2015.
Tim joined Dynamic in 2012 as an investment analyst on the Dynamic Value team and focuses on the technology and telecom sectors. In 2017 he was promoted to Senior Investment Analyst.
Prior to joining 1832 Asset Management L.P., Tim spent eight years in various analytical and advisory roles in the financial services and consumer products industries, before initially joining Dynamic as a summer associate in 2010 focusing on the precious metals and real estate sectors.
Tim earned his MBA in investment management from the John Molson School of Business (Goodman Institute of Investment Management) at Concordia University and he also holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science from Queen’s University.
Dunstan Chung joined Dynamic in 1996 and has 25 years of industry experience. He began his career with Dynamic in the client administration department before becoming an equity trader in 2001. Two years later he joined the award-winning Equity Income team providing invaluable support as a technical and quantitative analyst. Prior to joining Dynamic, Dunstan spent 2 years at Sumitomo Bank in Hong Kong where he was an interest rate and currency swaps trader.
Dunstan has a Bachelor of Arts in Management Information Systems from Eastern Washington University in the U.S.
Viviane joined 1832 Asset Management L.P. in 2013 as a Portfolio Analyst, and in 2016 joined the Credit Research team as a Credit Research Analyst.
Viviane has 5 years of credit research experience, including performing credit reviews on new issuers for corporate bonds and high yield companies. As a Portfolio Analyst, she worked closely with portfolio managers to generate trade ideas for a variety of fixed income mandates.
Viviane holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Administration in Finance, both from HEC Montreal. She earned her CFA designation in 2015.
Dora joined Dynamic in 2017 as a Portfolio Analyst and member of the Equity Income Team. She specializes in covering Financials and Alternatives, working closely with John Harris and Yassen Dimitrov. Prior to joining Dynamic Funds, Dora was an Equity Research Analyst at MFS Investment Management providing coverage on companies in the Financials and Power and Utilities sectors. Dora has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Anita joined Dynamic in 2015, working with the product management team. In 2016 she joined the Fixed Income Team, working as an Investment Grade Portfolio Analyst.
Prior to joining Dynamic Anita worked at both CIBC and Invesco Canada, bringing 5 years of investment industry experience to the team.
Anita holds a Bachelor of Management from Western University, and is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Financial Engineering and Mathematics from the Schulich School of Business. She was awarded the CFA designation in 2016.
Evan Hughes joined Dynamic in 2016 as a portfolio analyst on the Power team working with Alex Lane, Vice President & Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Dynamic, Evan spent eight years at Picton Mahoney Asset Management, where he worked as an Analyst & Partner, with a focus on global equities in telecom, utilities, clean energy and media.
Evan holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bishop's University, a Master of Economics from Queen's University, and is a CFA charterholder.
Jason Kuan joined Dynamic in 2010 and has over six years of industry experience. He began his career with Dynamic in the fund administration department where he held a variety of roles with a focus on fund valuation analysis.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph and is currently a Level III Candidate in the CFA Program.
Max joined Dynamic in 2012 and works closely with Damian Hoang as a Portfolio Analyst covering the healthcare and consumer sectors as well as specializing in quant and derivatives development and execution.
Prior to joining Dynamic, he spent two years in analytical roles in the mining and real estate development industries. Max speaks six languages, and has travelled to over 70 countries. He attended Harvard University as well as the University of Rome, Italy, attaining a Bachelor of Science degree. He also holds the CFA designation.
Greg Limburg joined Dynamic in 2016 as a Junior Portfolio Analyst for the Dynamic Value Team, focusing on the U.S. healthcare sector. Previous to Dynamic, Greg was an Equity Research Associate at BMO Capital Markets covering the Canadian consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors. As well, he has held several co-op analyst roles, most recently in Alternative Assets at the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Honours, Co-op, from Wilfrid Laurier University, and a Masters of Finance from Queen’s University.
Andrew joined Dynamic in 2014 as an investment analyst working closely with Alex Lane on the Dynamic Power team.
Andrew has 10 years of equity research experience. Prior to joining Dynamic he was most recently a Senior Investment Analyst for the Alberta Teachers’ Retirement Fund primarily covering Canadian consumer products and telecom stocks. Before that, he was a Research Associate with BMO Capital Markets covering auto parts and consumer product stocks. He also held an accounting role with Deloitte & Touche working with their Dispute Consulting & Forensic Services Group.
Andrew is a Chartered Accountant with a Diploma in Investigative & Forensic Accounting from the Rotman School of Management. He earned the CFA designation in 2006.
Danilo Martins joined Dynamic in 2017 as an Investment Analyst with the Core team working closely with Dana Love.
Prior to joining Dynamic, Danilo was an Investment Analyst at Invesco Trimark based in Canada from 2013-2015 and Hong Kong from 2015-2017, covering international and emerging markets with a focus on Latin America and Eastern Europe. Prior to Invesco Trimark, Danilo held equity research roles at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada and Clarus Securities, Inc.
Danilo received his Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial) from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo and his MBA from Queen's University.
Alexandre Mathieu joined Dynamic in 2012 as a member of the Credit Team, specializing in quantitative analysis on fixed income investments.
Alexandre has more than 10 years of industry experience, which includes quantitative and portfolio management responsibilities at a major Canadian financial investment management firm as well as risk management advisory responsibilities at the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec. He has extensive knowledge of fixed income derivatives. His previous experience also included asset/liability management at Laurentian Bank.
Alexandre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) Montréal University and a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering/Portfolio Management from the University of Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Alexandre is a FRM (Financial Risk Manager) charterholder.
Ryan Metcalf joined Dynamic in 2016 as a Portfolio Analyst on the Power team working with Alex Lane, Vice President & Portfolio Manager. Ryan brings with him over 4 years of industry experience working in investment banking in the UK with Credit Suisse followed by an Investment Analyst role at a hedge fund. Ryan has a HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and Master of Financial Economics from the University of Toronto.
Evan Minsky joined Dynamic in 2014 as an investment analyst for the Dynamic Value Team. Previous to Dynamic, Evan was an Equity Research Associate Analyst at Canaccord Genuity for four years covering the diversified financials sector. Prior to this, Evan held equity research roles for a combined five years at Genuity Capital Markets and Clarus Securities covering diversified financials, alternative energy, technology, and special situation stocks.
Evan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Montreal and was awarded the CFA designation in 2007.
Andrew joined 1832 in 2013 as part of the performance analysis team, working on analysis and reviews of internal performance metrics for portfolio management teams. In 2016 Andrew was promoted to the Investment Team and is currently a global generalist working with Dana Love.
With 10 years of experience in the investment industry, Andrew gained experience working at TD Bank spending 2 years as an Equity Research Associate covering the Financial Services sector at TD Securities and in Capital Finance working on bank capital initiatives.
Andrew holds a BA (Honours) in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Masters in Economics from Queen’s University. He was awarded the CFA charter in 2012.
Sehr joined Dynamic in 2011 as an analyst and member of the award-winning Equity Income team, working closely with Jennifer Stevenson on identifying opportunities in the energy sector. In 2016, her sector coverage was expanded to include the consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors. In her expanded role, she works closely with Steven Hall to cover consumer products, while continuing her coverage of the energy sector. Prior to joining Dynamic she spent 7 years as an analyst with Qwest Investment Fund Management where she performed fundamental analysis on securities in the energy sector and to a lesser extent the mining sector and before that with Humboldt Capital Corporation assessing equities in the base metals and precious metals space.
Sehr has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Drake University in the US and is a CFA charterholder.
Mauricio Terrazas joined Dynamic's Equity Income team in 2016 as a Junior Research Associate, working closely with Jennifer Stevenson on identifying opportunities in the energy sector.
Prior to this position, Mauricio worked as a part-time Analyst with Scotia Wealth Management as he finished his Bachelor of Commerce Degree at University of Calgary. He also held summer internship positions within Scotiabank in the 1832 Asset Management and International Asset Management groups.
Joseph joined 1832 Asset Management L.P.’s Fixed Income team in 2016, working as a Junior Trader and Portfolio Associate. He works closely with the team on trade execution and maintaining portfolio exposure and risk models.
Joseph holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University and is expected to receive the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2018.
Robertson Velez joined Dynamic in 2016 as a Portfolio Analyst and member of the Equity Income Team focusing on identifying global opportunities in the technology sector.
Before joining Dynamic, Robertson spent eight years with a large Canadian financial services firm as a Senior Investment Analyst providing recommendations on the technology sector. He covered all subsectors including hardware, software and semiconductors in a global context that included North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to this he spent two years as an Equity Research Associate covering the Canadian mining and technology sectors. Robertson began his career as an Engineer with ATI Technologies and over a 12 year period rose to the position of Project Leader.
Robertson received an Honours Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, a Masters in Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He also holds the Professional Engineer and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.
Nawojka joined Dynamic in 2013 as an investment analyst working with Robert Cohen on the precious metals and resource sectors.
Prior to joining Dynamic, Nawojka has spent over 10 years on the sell-side covering North American precious and base metal companies at several major investment firms including HSBC Securities, BMO Capital Markets and Genuity Capital Markets. Her strong analytical experience is complemented by her recent role as VP of Investor Relations at an international mining company.
Nawojka has a Master’s of Science degree in Geology from the University of Toronto.
